The pioneering, determination and idealism of its founder, Ary Arnoldo Wehmuth, are the outstanding reasons for the success of Quimisa. Everything began with his work as a sales agent of chemical and textile products for customers in Brusque/SC and region. After some years have gone by and realizing the absence of certain products in the market, he started to import them. From that point on, he started to distribute colorants and general chemical products to the entire state of Santa Catarina, selling to textile industries, metal works, tanneries and other industries.
Originated from that business, on August 27th, 1959 the company “Comercial Santa Catarina Ltda. was founded, being changed later to Quimisa Indústria e Comércio Ltda., and, finally to Quimisa S/A. Currently, the headquarters of Quimisa S/A in Brusque are installed on a land area of 160.000 sq. meters having 15.000 sq.m of built area. The branch of Sapucaia do Sul/RS has 40.000 sq.m of land and 4.000 sq.m of built are. Finally, the branch of Jandira/SP has 4.106 sq.m of land and 2.193 sq.m of built area.
